Solo grind on my stylized.

It’s a shiny morning, sun on the face with that little winter breeze trying to pierce through my skin, With all geared up for a 4 hrs ride in mind I took off on an unplanned route towards Bagalur. After 30mins of roar and aggressive cranks, I reach Bagalur. Grubbed some bananas and heard the name Berikai at about 12 km away. The name sounded interesting, as pears stuck in my mind (i.e. Berikai = Pears in Southern India). However I headed toward Berikai and it was a tough terrain, was slightly exhausted but had enough strength for another 50kms. Past BeriKai there was Masti (guess it is a great Kannada Poet Venketesh Iyengars’s Home) & Krishnagiri (wherewith a couple of my friends we had been planning to ride but always ended up calling it off). After reaching Berikai realised Balaji (my bro-in-law) mentioning about Avalapalli Dam situated between Berikai & Hosur. Figured it’s about 10+ km. I came back on the same road to take a deviation at Mugalapalli to the Dam.

“I should settle with light food when riding or just energy bars”

That deviation deviated everything. That corner the picture of food on a small hotel lured me in; which served hot-hot Idlis, Poori & Chitranna. The delicious chutney made me eat a few Idlis, usually, I avoid eating ‘em. The charge drained from here on, I was super sleepy and wanted to load my bike on every Tractor/truck that crossed me but I pushed myself to at least reach the dam. After reaching me being me I took a small nap that lasted less than 2 mins :(those annoying Insects dammit!!!). Should’ve taken a bit longer. The dam it is & whats a dam without a water gush, it is a small dam & the view is amazing. Probably it was not okay to me as it was too sunny and I was drowsy. Now that I desperately wanted to hit the bed, I buried myself in a pedal of thoughts to reach home. The next 18km looked really longer than the earlier 40k but I hit home earlier than expected. at 12:15 pm my couch greeted me & that was the 2nd best thing after the ride.

This was funny, the guy behind me was in every pic I clicked. Tried talking but he was too shy to talk but never to face the camera. Thinking of it now should have taken a picture together. I was tired, sleepy.

This ride was beautiful and would love to repeat it soon.
